BCWD Advisory: Report Leakages

The Butuan City Water District (BCWD) appeals to the public to help monitor and report to the office any leakage in the pipelines of BCWD particularly the 800mm diameter transmission line at the cut-off channel of the viaduct located at the east bank of the floodway along Mahay – Baan – Mahogany area.
BCWD is also requesting any agency responsible for the maintenance of the City’s infrastructure, such as the viaduct, roads and especially the dredging of the cut-off channel, to be careful in conducting their activities so as not to accidentally cause damage to the pipelines of BCWD. Any leak especially with the bigger pipelines would take days to repair and could involve temporary shut-off of water service to the City proper during leak repair.
