ADVISORY: Possible Reduction of Water Supply (August 6, 2025 8:00PM)

The Butuan City Water District (BCWD) informs the public that the Taguibo Aquatech Solutions Corporation (TASC) may implement a temporary reduction in water supply possibly from August 8 to August 30, 2025, due to continued lack of rainfall in Sitio Iyao, Brgy. Anticala, where the water treatment facility is located.
TASC has advised that if the current hydrological conditions persist, water supply may be reduced from the usual 56.5 million liters per day (MLD) to between 50 MLD and as low as 24 MLD.
As a result, some areas may experience low water pressure or no supply, particularly during peak hours.
BCWD appeals for your patience and understanding as we work closely with TASC to manage the situation and monitor developments. We assure the public that all necessary measures will be taken to minimize inconvenience.
We encourage everyone to store sufficient water good for three (3) days on a day to day basis while water is available in your taps until such time that the hydrological condition in the Taguibo River improves. Meanwhile, BCWD will provide daily updates through BCWD’s official Facebook Page and Website.
