EL NIÑO WATCH: WATER SUPPLY STATUS UPDATE (May 9, 2024; 9:30AM)
As of May 9, 2024, the dam intake water level of the Taguibo Aquatech Solutions Corporation (TASC), the bulk water supplier of the Butuan City Water District (BCWD), is only at 4.3 meters. TASC continued to lower down its water supply volume delivery to 41.7MLD (74% of operating capacity) as Sitio Iyao, Brgy. Anticala, Butuan City, as the water level in the Taguibo River continues to dwindle due to El Niño.
BCWD would like to inform its consuming public of the change of schedule for its Oplan Makaangayon sa Tubig (its rotational water supply program) starting today, Thursday, May 9, 2024. Eastern Area of Butuan City, from Taguibo to: Magsaysay Bridge; Taligaman/Basag; Pigdaulan; Tiniwisan/Cabcabon; and Mahay, water will only be available from 8:00AM to 6:00PM.
BCWD is now closely coordinating with TASC for updates on its water supply. Due to the critical situation of the Taguibo River, BCWD encourages its concessionaires to conserve water in the midst of this El Niño. Furthermore, concessionaires are advised to store water when water is available to meet daily needs.
Expect a daily water supply update from BCWD at its official Facebook page and website while the effect of the El Niño phenomenon is still experienced.

We deeply regret the inconvenience. Thank you for your continuing support to BCWD.
