WATER STATUS UPDATE (as of 8:00AM, August 5, 2023)

An advisory was released on August 4, 2023 by the Butuan City Water District (BCWD) informing the public that it was conducting an emergency repair of the damaged Pump Station No. 17 leading to low water to no water situation on some of its service areas located at the end points of the system and those in elevated areas.
As of 2:50AM, August 5, 2023, BCWD has completed the emergency repair of Pump Station No. 17 and has resumed its operations.
Buildup of water pressure is ongoing. It may take a bit of time for the water pressure to normalize especially since today is a Saturday where water demand is high.
Parts of the service area of BCWD will still experience low water pressure while the end points of the system and those located in elevated areas may still be waterless.
