BCWD ADVISORY WATER STATUS UPDATE (1/5/2022 as of 4:45 PM)

As of 1:00 PM of January 5, 2022, water pressure at Pump Station No. 1 of the Butuan City Water District (BCWD) is still at 10psi (68.95 kPa). As such, some of the service area of BCWD will experience low water pressure while other areas especially farther from the water source and those located at the end points of the system and in elevated locations will still be waterless. Build-up of water pressure, enough for water supply to reach the faucets, is still ongoing.

The bulk water supplier of BCWD – the Taguibo Aquatech Solutions Corporation (TASC) has completed the emergency maintenance of its temporary source at Sitio Iyao, Brgy. Anticala and started releasing water supply at around 12:00 noon today. As per TASC’s update, as of 1:00 PM total volume of water supplied to BCWD is at 1,000 cubic meters per hour.

Please be reminded that the total supply of water of BCWD from TASC and from the four pump stations is still only at 60% of the volume required for the entire water system.

Normal water pressure will only be restored upon completion of TASC’s rehabilitation/repair of its main facility at Sitio Iyao, Brgy. Anticala.

Meanwhile, water rationing is still continued.

We deeply regret the inconvenience. Thank you for your continuing support to BCWD.
