BCWD ADVISORY WATER STATUS UPDATE (1/4/2022 as of 5:00AM)
As of 5:00 AM of January 4, 2022, water pressure at Pump Station No. 1 of the Butuan City Water District (BCWD) is only at 5psi (34.47 kPa). As such, majority of the service area of BCWD is now experiencing low water pressure while those at the endpoints of the system or located in elevated areas are still waterless.
The bulk water supplier of BCWD – the Taguibo Aquatech Solutions Corporation (TASC) is currently conducting emergency maintenance at its facility at Sitio Iyao, Brgy. Anticala. As such, TASC is only providing a total of 500 cubic meters per hour as of this moment until such time that its maintenance work is completed and TASC can increase its volume supplied to 1,200 cubic meters per hour.
As precautionary measure, for those areas with water in their taps, BCWD suggests the consuming public to store water to meet domestic needs and to boil water when used for drinking and cooking.
We deeply regret the inconvenience. Thank you for your continuing support to BCWD.
