BCWD UPDATE: ENSURING CONTINUOUS WATER SERVICE AMIDST COVID-19 PANDEMIC (June 15, 2020)
BCWD interconnects newly installed 4-inch diameter uPVC pipeline to mainline at Brgy. Maug
Butuan City Water District (BCWD) recently interconnected its newly installed 4-inch diameter uPVC pipeline to mainline at Brgy. Maug.
The project entails 2.1km long of 4” diameter pipes, replacing the old 1” diameter pipes that traversed from Brgy. Maug to Brgy. Banza. This new pipeline will improve water supply in the two barangays.
Approximately 100 households in said barangays will experience continuous water supply. It is expected that residents in these areas will religiously practice proper hygiene, particularly hand washing, to get rid of COVID-19. Hence, water is very essential especially that we are battling with COVID-19 pandemic, in which our only defense against invisible enemies is hand washing to wipe them out.
