Alviola Village Elementary and Los Angeles National High School win BCWD 31st On-the-Spot Poster Making Contest

John Dave M. Jamito of Alviola Village Central Elementary School and Albert C. Belioco of Los Angeles National High School are the champions of the 31st On-the-Spot Poster Making Contest organized by the Butuan City Water District (BCWD) as part of the 19th Water Consciousness Week and BCWD 46th Anniversary celebration. Held last March 12, 2020 at the BCWD Training Hall, the BCWD 31st On-the-Spot Poster Making Contest gathered a total of 21 elementary pupils and 20 junior high school students as participants.

This year’s theme: “Preserve, Conserve… Deserve Ko ang Fight for Water” for the Elementary and “ACT 4 H2O … Activate the Cause and Time 4 Water” for the Junior High School level was best depicted by the posters of Mr. Jamito and Mr. Belioco thus both of them earning the 1st place spot.

Other winners for the Elementary level were Trisha Kristine E. Sepulueda of Obrero Elementary School bagging 2nd Place; Devone F. Calrito of Enfant Cheri Study Center Inc. placing 3rd; while the consolation prize winner was John Hervie O. Auguis of Ong Yiu Central Elementary School.

For the Jr. High School level, winning 2nd place was Gloria Maris C. Yonson of the Butuan City School of Arts and Trades; Trix Aree E. Cubillas of the CFC School of the Morning Star placing 3rd place while settling for the consolation prize was Mae Anna Faith S. Ligero of Starland International School.

Judging the posters were the following: Mr. Crismiero Tamis as the Chairperson of the Board of Judges; Mr. Omar Arellano and Mr. King Cupaz Rosales as members.

Prizes for the Elementary level were P3,500.00 cash plus gold medal for the champion; P2,500.00 cash and silver medal for the 2nd place; P2,000.00 cash plus bronze medal for the 3rd place and P1,000.00 cash plus a medal for the consolation prize winner. Non-winners for the Elementary level will each receive P300.00 each and a certificate of participation.

For the Jr. High School level, the champion receives P 4,000.00 cash with gold medal; P3,000.00 cash plus silver medal for the 2nd place; P2,500.00 cash plus bronze medal for the 3rd place and P1,500.00 plus a medal for the consolation prize. Non-winners for the Junior High School level will receive P400.00 each with a certificate of participation.
