BCWD UPDATE (1/18/18) - Watershed Symposium

In line with the celebrations of the Water District Week throughout the country and the Watershed Consciousness Week in Butuan City, the Butuan City Water District (BCWD) conducted the Watershed Symposium this morning at Sitio Tagkiling in Brgy. Anticala, Butuan City. A pool of resource speakers, representing DENR, City ENRO, EMB and BCWD, discussed to around 400 residents of Sitios Dugyaman and Tagkiling the importance of the Taguibo Watershed and how it could be protected to prevent further degradation, thus, bringing it back to its healthy state. This event was only part of a series of activities lined up for the aforesaid celebrations, which will culminate in the 3rd Community Water Conservation Festival to be held on January 26, 2018 at the Atrium, Robinson’s Place-Butuan.
