BCWD ADVISORY WATER STATUS UPDATE POST TS ODETTE (as of 12/23/2021 2:00 PM)

As of December 23, 2021, water pressure at Pump Station No. 1 of the Butuan City Water District (BCWD) is at 17psi (117.21 kPa). BCWD’s bulk water supplier – the Taguibo Aquatech Solutions Corporation (TASC) has supplied water with an average flowrate of 21.467MLD (million liters per day) from December 21, 2021; 12:00 Midnight to December 22, 2021; 12:00 Midnight. As such, the entire service area will still experience low water pressure to waterless situation.

On the progress of TASC’s rehabilitation of its facility at Sitio Iyao, Brgy. Anticala:
• The restoration of the conveyance pipeline is temporarily halted for the holidays and will resume on December 27, 2021;
• Completed the installation of two (2) volume pumps; and
• Commencement of additional volume delivery to BCWD on December 22, 2021 at 2:00PM.

In the meantime, water rationing will still continue to areas that still have no water. For the schedule of the water rationing, you may check the official Facebook page of the Butuan City PIO as they will be responsible for posting the schedule of water rationing for the day. The role of BCWD during the water rationing is to provide the water supply for the tankers. For those concessionaires who wish to be included in the schedule of water rationing, you may contact the CDRRMO through contact numbers 09217687287 / 09561333998 / 8152607.

Furthermore, BCWD is advising concessionaires that received rationed water from the tankers, not to drink the water directly as a safety precaution. Concessionaires may boil the water before drinking or for cooking purposes. This boil advisory was issued as a health precaution to all concessionaires of BCWD.

Normal water will be restored upon complete delivery of water supply by TASC based on its contract volume.
