WATER STATUS UPDATE (October 11, 2016 8:45AM)

The Butuan City Water District (BCWD) has temporarily suspended the operation of the facilities at Sitio Iyao, Brgy. Anticala due to high water turbidity starting last October 8, 2016 caused by the rainy weather at the Taguibo River Watershed Forest Reserve. As of October 11, 2016, 8:45am, the turbidity level of the Taguibo River is still at 15NTU. The facilities at the source and at the Filtration Plant are partially operational. Water pressure at Pump Station No. 1 is only at 206.84 kPa (30psi). As such, the entire service area of BCWD will still experience low water pressure to waterless situation.

As a temporary solution, BCWD will continue conducting water rationing prioritizing those barangays which have no water. Four (4) tankers will be roaming around the City, October 11, 2016, starting 10:00am. The following barangays will be the recipients for the water rationing:

• Bit-os
