WATER STATUS UPDATE & ADVISORY BCWD IMPLEMENTS OPLAN SAG-OB (August 24, 2026 | 3:52 PM)
We regret to inform the public of a critical water supply situation. Taguibo has experienced a 23-day drought, resulting in severely diminished streamflows of 42–43 MLD. For the past two weeks, BCWD has managed extraction at Taguibo by taking only 48 MLD—8 to 9 MLD below normal supply requirements. Despite these measures, Streamflow continues to drop because of the absence of rainfall.
As of August 24, 2026, daily water delivery from Taguibo Aquatech Solutions Corporation (TASC), located in Sitio Iyao, Brgy. Anticala, sits at 47.34 MLD, with dam levels dropping to 3.58 meters—well below the critical 4-meter threshold.
