ADVISORY Emergency Water Service Interruption Due to Transmission Line

Breakage Starting 1:00 PM Today, June 17, 2026
‎‎BCWD informs all concessionaires and the general public that the major transmission line located in Barangay Taguibo, which sustained damage from the series of earthquakes on June 8 and 9, 2026, has completely broken and now requires immediate emergency repairs.
‎‎Following continuous monitoring of a leak that developed after the June 9 earthquake, the condition of the transmission line progressively worsened, resulting in a full breakage of the mainline. Due to the severity of the damage, BCWD must undertake urgent repair works to prevent further water loss and restore the integrity of the water transmission system.

‎Emergency repair activities will commence at 1:00 PM today, June 17, 2026.

‎As a result, consumers throughout the BCWD service area may experience low water pressure to total water service interruption while repair operations are underway.

‎BCWD technical personnel and equipment have already been mobilized, and repair works are being conducted on an urgent basis. Every effort is being made to complete the repairs and restore normal water service as quickly as possible. However, the duration of the interruption will depend on the extent of the damage and site conditions encountered during the repair process.

‎All affected concessionaires are strongly advised to:
‎‎• Store water whenever it is available and use it wisely, prioritizing essential household needs; and
‎• Use water judiciously during the interruption period.

‎BCWD sincerely apologizes for the inconvenience caused by this emergency situation and requests the public's patience and understanding as our personnel work to address the problem safely and efficiently.

‎Further updates on the progress of the repairs and the estimated restoration of water service will be provided as soon as additional information becomes available.
