ADVISORY BCWD OPENS NEW OPLAN SAG-OB STATION IN BARANGAY BUHANGIN (As of April 27, 2026; 8:00PM)
The Butuan City Water District (BCWD) announces the opening of a new Oplan Sag-Ob water station in Barangay Buhangin to further assist concessionaires affected by the reduced water supply brought about by the continuing dry weather conditions.
As previously reported, the daily water supply from Taguibo Aquatech Solutions Corporation (TASC) remains limited due to insufficient rainfall affecting its source. In response, BCWD continues to expand its Oplan Sag-Ob operations to provide temporary alternative water access to its concessionaires.
Schedule of Operation – Barangay Buhangin Station
• 6:00 PM – 10:00 PM (Residential Consumers)
BCWD concessionaires may fetch water at the Barangay Buhangin Oplan Sag-Ob station, subject to the following guidelines:
1. Maximum of one (1) cubic meter per account per day or one (1) fetch per day to ensure fair access and avoid congestion.
2. Concessionaires must present any of the following:
o Updated Statement of Account (Active)
o Updated Water Bill or Official Receipt
3. Only the registered account holder or authorized representative may transact at the station.
4. Inactive accounts must first undergo reactivation at the BCWD Commercial Office before availing of the program.
BCWD advises areas that still have running water to store adequate supply while water is available.
As a health precaution, water collected from tanks or containers must be boiled before drinking or cooking.
BCWD continues to closely coordinate with TASC for updates regarding bulk water production and supply conditions. With the ongoing dry spell affecting the Taguibo River, BCWD strongly encourages all concessionaires to practice water conservation.
Daily water supply updates will be posted on BCWD’s official Facebook page and website.

BCWD appreciates the public’s patience and cooperation during this time.
