The Butuan City Water District (BCWD) informs the public that at 8:09 AM today, March 9, 2026, its Bulk Water Supplier notified BCWD of a temporary reduction in water supply, effective immediately. The estimated resumption of normal water delivery is around 12:00 PM today, March 9, 2026.
According to the Bulk Water Supplier, the supply has been reduced from the usual 58 million liters per day (MLD) to 43 MLD due to a technical problem at its water treatment plant located in Sitio Iyao, Barangay Anticala, Butuan City.
As a result, some areas may experience unusual water availability and pressure, especially during peak demand hours.
BCWD appeals for your patience and understanding as the District works closely with its Bulk Water Supplier to manage the situation and continues to closely monitor developments. Rest assured that BCWD is taking the necessary steps to minimize inconvenience to its valued customers.
