ADVISORY BCWD to Conduct Flushing and Disinfection for Pipeline Upgrade at Purok 4, Brgy. Villa Kananga (January 29, 2026; 1:45 PM)

The Butuan City Water District (BCWD) will conduct flushing and disinfection activities as part of the ongoing pipeline upgrading project involving 50-mm diameter HDPE pipes in Purok 4, Barangay Villa Kananga, Butuan City. The activity is scheduled from 10:00 PM on January 29, 2026, until 6:00 AM on January 30, 2026.
The following areas will be affected by the said flushing and disinfection:
• Booc Street
• Mina Compound
Upon completion of the flushing and disinfection process, the upgraded pipelines in these areas will be ready for commissioning.
BCWD advises all concessionaires to prepare for the temporary water service interruption during the scheduled activity.
During flushing, water may appear turbid or discolored. Concessionaires are strongly advised to keep their taps/faucets closed until the activity is finished and water quality has normalized.
If any water quality concerns persist after the activity, please report them immediately to BCWD for prompt action.
